Ching Ching... (goes the bicycle bell if I had one)

I recently purchased a new hybrid bike. It's a pretty blue trek 7.2.
I keep this bad boy inside because my last one was stolen from the porch.  Ass
In this city EVERYONE bikes somewhere, or at least owns one and says "...this weekend I am going to bike to (insert hip hang out something or another)"

The idea here, is that I can get the old work-out out of the way by commuting. I forgot how hard bike riding is when you haven't done it in, umm, many years.

You can check out my route right.... here!

The trick now is to wake up in time to do it. Im open to suggestions.
It takes a long time to go from this to awake

It all started...

with a home mushroom growing kit I won while while at the Austin Home & Garden Show, also known by some as my secret second life.

Weird science?

It was then that I decided I am going to grow whatever I can sustain on my 400 sq. ft of heaven. Keep in mind, I have not grown a thing since the bean sprout experiment in kindergarten.
I started with a mimosa and a buzzy dream. Did I read up on the subject you ask? Maybe find out what things thrive here in ATX at what time of year?

No. I scavenged the property for abandoned planters, and hit up the old Home Depot for dirt, plants, seeds for back up, and a little Miracle Grow.
Add some plants, and maybe a topsy turvy....

Ill send an update when they a)thrive or b)wilt and die

Stay tuned!

Kite Fest 201... a perfect day to watch others go fly a kite

I met up with Meg and Sean with some cheese, champagne and the doggies. I managed to catch a sun burn too.

Once you get past the hard parts, the parking and leaving, it is one of the most the most pleasantly relaxing days in the park ever.

Kick off the shoes...

Dig the toes in the grass...

Find your view.....

Maybe this one...

Meg & Riley eating cheese...

Willy abandoned ship. Such a traitor... Sean has never felt so betrayed. ;)

Things that make my head hurt. (1 in a series...)

I created a folder for my bills. Keep statements, dates etc. This naturally is a tense topic, that being said, if I write BILLS on the folder it will never be opened. So this is my solution.
